Description

A 100% hand-crafted, spring harvest, first flush black tea, this unique batch is a blend of leaves from multiple cultivars—predominantly made up of third leaves (souchong), including selections from the renowned Takda cultivar. Grown at elevations exceeding 2,300 meters in the highland gardens of Phidim, Panchthar, this tea reflects both altitude and artisanal skill.

What sets it apart is the exceptional hand-rolling technique. The tea maker skillfully twisted and rolled the delicate spring leaves by hand—an art that demands patience, precision, and deep knowledge of leaf behaviour during the early season.

At first glance, the dry leaves resemble those from summer or monsoon harvests—darker, more robust—but the moment it brews, the bright liquor and vibrant springtime aroma reveal its true origin. It’s a deceptive beauty: spring in every sip.
