Description
The taste profile is smooth yet complex, with a full-bodied character that lingers on the palate, finishing with a signature muscatel note. Coming from Malate village, Ilam, Nepal – Harvested in late June, these teas are carefully hand-picked from multiple high-grade leaves and expertly crafted by an experienced tea maker to deliver the finest expression of second flush teas. Rare and limited in quantity, production volume of this tea is naturally shaped by sap-sucking insects like thrips, which nibble on the young leaves. In response, the tea plant increases its production of terpenes as a natural defence, resulting in the distinctive aroma and flavour unique to this harvest.
